Robert James “Bob” Davie

September 25, 1944 - November 20, 2023

Entered into rest at Rideaucrest Home, Kingston, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, Bob Davie of Kingston died at the age of 79. Son of the late Mel & Mary Davie and beloved husband of the late Sylvia (formerly Robinson, nee Byers). Loving father of Julie Byers (Patrick Malone) of Prescott, adored grandfather of Mia (Brandon), and Lindsay (Darryl), and cherished great grandfather of Brandon, Taylor, and London. Sadly missed by his fluffy friend, Baby.
While his friends, associates and colleagues knew him as Bob, his family named him Bobbo. A kind, loving and devoted man, Bobbo showed his love through quality time. He was always there to listen, offer guidance and encourage you to aim for success. His grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Bobbo loved to hear of the antics of the children and would always follow with a huge belly laugh and a slap on the knee.
Bob had passions and interest for business, technology, sports, and most of all reading. Often with a newspaper in hand, Bobbo would make as many trips to the park and the local play center as his grandchildren needed. He enjoyed his daily visits to the local gym and the simple pleasures of walks, working in the garden, and playing with his cat.
Mr. Davie rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in the Spring with a Celebration of Life to follow. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
