Robert “Bob” Stanley May

March 20, 1938 - August 16, 2024

Peacefully entered into rest surrounded by his loving wife and family, after a hard fought battle, at his home, on Friday, August 16, 2024, Bob May of Picton, died at the age of 86.  Son of the late Jack & Eva May, & Marion (nee Jones) and beloved husband for 62 years to Winona (nee Kennedy).  Loving father of Debbie (John Margetson) of Picton, Steve (Dianna Kopiichenko) of Bloomfield, Brian of Bloomfield (Elida Van Der Hout of Belleville), and Kimberley of Peterborough, and grandfather of Ashley (Ben), Jenny (Ross), Sarah (Kurt), Kali (Bryan), Tracey (Max), and Ari and great grandfather of Hudson, Anna, Landon, Josie, Sebastian, Theodore, Walter, and Ruth.  Predeceased by his brother Thomas and survived by his sister Betty May of Belleville and his sister-in-law Rosemarie Kennedy of Enterprise.  Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and his extended family.  As Bob would always say and instill in others: “Do Everything To The Best Of Your Ability.” Mr. May rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450).  A Private Family Funeral Service was held with Interment at Cherry Valley Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation or Hospice Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences and memories at: www.rushnellfuneralhomes.com
